This Privacy Policy explains how Nickey Norrish ("I", "me") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit nickeynorrish.com (the "Site") or contact me. I'm based in Canada and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information I collect

Information you send me. The Site has no forms. If you click an email button or write to nickey@nickeynorrish.com, I receive whatever you include in your email, such as your name, email address, organization and details about your project.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, some information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you arrived at the Site and general location (city or region). This comes from the following tools:

• Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to measure and improve advertising and to show relevant ads on Meta platforms.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure LinkedIn advertising and see general information about the professional audience visiting the Site.
• CleanTalk, an anti-spam service used on blog pages.

My website platforms (Showit and WordPress) and their hosting providers may also keep standard server logs for security and performance.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This Site uses them for two purposes:

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help me understand which pages are useful and how people find the Site.
• Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag) help me measure my ads and show relevant ads on Meta and LinkedIn to people who have visited the Site.

These cookies do not give me your name or contact details. By continuing to use the Site, you consent to these cookies. You can refuse or delete them at any time in your browser settings, and the Site will still work. The opt-out options under "Your choices" below also let you turn off analytics and ad personalization.

How I use your information

• To reply to your email and discuss working together
• To deliver services you have agreed to receive
• To understand how the Site is used and improve it
• To measure and improve marketing and advertising
• To protect the Site from spam and abuse

I do not sell your personal information.

Sharing your information

I share information only with service providers that help me run the Site and my business, such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, CleanTalk, Showit, WordPress hosting and my email provider. These providers process information on my behalf or under their own privacy policies. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• You can manage ad preferences in your Meta (Facebook or Instagram) and LinkedIn account settings.

How long I keep information

I keep emails and project information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for legal, tax and accounting reasons. Analytics data is kept according to each provider's retention settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or withdraw your consent to my using it, subject to legal limits. Email nickey@nickeynorrish.com and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No website or email transmission is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

The Site links to other websites, including PlayerPartnerships.com, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.

Children

The Site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
